How to Install (Sideload) Your Game on Meta Quest

Since this game is not yet available on the official Meta Quest Store, you'll need to install it using a process called "sideloading." Don't worry, it's a straightforward process!

Here’s what you'll need:

• Meta Quest Headset (Quest 1, Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest Pro)
• A Computer (Windows, macOS, or Linux)
• USB-C Cable (the one that came with your Quest works best)
• Internet Access on your computer

Step 1: Enable Developer Mode

You'll need to enable "Developer Mode" on your Quest headset via the Meta Quest mobile app.

1. Open the Meta Quest app on your smartphone.
2. Make sure your Quest headset is connected in the app.
3. Tap "Menu" (bottom right) → "Devices".
4. Select your Quest headset.
5. Scroll down and tap "Headset Settings" → "Developer Mode".
6. Toggle on "Developer Mode."
   • If prompted, you might need to quickly create a free "Organization" on the Meta Developer website. It only takes a moment!
7. Restart your Quest headset after enabling Developer Mode (hold down the power button and select "Restart").

Step 2: Install SideQuest (Recommended Tool)

SideQuest is the easiest way to sideload apps.

1. On your computer, download and install SideQuest from their official website:

Step 3: Connect Your Quest and Authorize Debugging

1. Connect your Meta Quest headset to your computer using the USB-C cable.
2. Put on your Quest headset. You'll see a pop-up asking "Allow USB debugging?"
3. Check the box for "Always allow from this computer" and then tap "Allow."
   • If you don't see this, try disconnecting and reconnecting the cable.

Step 4: Install the Game (.apk file)

1. Open SideQuest on your computer.
2. Confirm your Quest is connected. You should see a green circle and "Connected" in the top left of the SideQuest window.
3. Drag and drop the game's .apk file (which you've downloaded) directly into the SideQuest window.
   • Alternatively, click the square icon with a downward arrow at the top right of SideQuest, then browse for and select the .apk file.
4. SideQuest will show a progress bar. Once it says "Installation complete!" at the bottom, you're all set!

Step 5: Launch the Game on Your Quest

1. Put on your Meta Quest headset.
2. From your universal menu (the row of icons at the bottom), go to your App Library (the grid icon).
3. In the top right corner of the App Library, click the dropdown menu (it usually says "All" or "Games") and select "Unknown Sources."
4. You'll find your newly installed game listed there. Click on it to start playing!
